All Caught Up

Okay I think that's it; we're all caught up for the time being. I'll try to be better about updating but in the meantime thanks for visiting our blog and I hope you all have a safe & happy rest of your summer. Enjoy the sun while it's around...I know we will!

Elmo Time

Thanks to her cousin Catherine Melia was introduced to Elmo this past weekend and he is a winner in her book. She thinks he is hilarious! She sat on Uncle Cory's lap for the longest time just watching that little red puppet hang out in grouch land; wherever that is.

Staring Contest

Melia having a staring contest with her toy horse which eventually led to her defeating the horse by tossing it to the ground. I think that may have been cheating but I didn't have the heart to tell her.

First Cereal

The look on that adorable face says "what are you feeding me Mom?" She did pretty good getting those first solid foods down; if they can be called that.

Quick Comparison #2

From birth to 4 months!

4 Month Well Check

I can't believe our mini Ruedi is already 4 months old. Our tiny little girl isn't so tiny anymore. At just over 4 months she is 19lbs and 26 1/4 inches. To put that in perspective that is the average hieght of an 8 month old and weight of a 10 month old. WOW ~ and to think those first few days I was worried becuase she wasn't gaining enough weight!

1st Party

Melia went to her first birthday party. It was for her friend Riley who's a bit older then her. Judging from the look on her face either her tights were too snug or she had no idea what was going on. You be the judge!?!?!

09 Annual Horseshoe Lake Campout

My side of the family has an annual camp out at Grandma's place on the lake. Once again Melia was a champ camper and everyone had an awesome time despite the not so fantastic weather. Sharman even built a water obstacle course this year. It was so fun to watch everyone try to get across without falling in!

Concert at the Park

Kevin and I took Melia to meet up with some friends and listen to the live music at a nearby park. Here's soome pics of her with her bud Gavin and Gavin's big sis Ella. Thanks to Melissa for the quality top shot of the kids.

Her Favorite

Can you guess what Melia's favorite toy is. I think the smile on her face is kind of a giveaway!

A Day With the Fish

Katie and I took Melia to the Seattle Aquarium for the first time on Aug ist while the guys were at the State softball tournament. She really seemed to enjoy some of the exhibits. Her favorite had to be the rom that looked like a big glass dome where fish, sharks, etc were swiming all around you. Very cool! Typical Me though; I forgot to take any pictures until she had passed out in her stroller at the end of the day...oops!

Lot's of Family Fun

Melia spent the day a couple weeks ago visiting Grandma & Grandpa Ruedi then heading out to see Grandma Carolie, Great Aunt Nellie and Great Uncle Don. It was a busy but fun day of visiting with relatives. Good thing she likes to nap in the car to keep her energy up!

A day at the Lake

Melia and I spent the day at the lake visiting with Grandma Carolie, Aunt Gigi, and some of her cousins. Avery and her were definitely tuckered out by the end of the day!

09 Softball Season

Dad is in the midst of softball season. The tournaments have wrapped up for this year but he's still playing regular season games. Melia is amazingly good at just hanging out and watching the boys play. Here' some photo's of her and a few friends hanging out at games this summer. She wasn't a huge fan of the sunglasses. That's her cousin Avery trying to comfort her in that last picture.
