Fight Night

Kevin and I made it to the fights last night with a bunch of friends. Dan won his fight by choking out his opponent, which was awesome since the guy he was fighting wasn't afraid to throw a low blow. Congratulations Dan! Hayes fought in the title fight and it was a good fight but was called for the other guy in the forth round. Here's a good shot of Dan's after fight glow! Check out the ridiculously young baby some people in front of us brought to the fights in the bottom picture. The little guy did pretty good for as noisy as it was.

Stevie's Birthday

This weekend was my niece Stevie's 13th birthday. I forgot to take pix at the party so here are few of her from this past Christmas with my other niece Megan. My Mom, sister Shevaun, and niece Ceria were also lucky enough to make it into a couple pictures that day with these two clowns! Happy Birthday Stevie!

Bath Time

Melia loves bath time! We are so lucky she is such a good girl during it. This was actually Melia's 2nd bath, but we are pretending it was her 1st since we didn't get pic's of numero uno. I was by myself for the real 1st one so pictures and video just weren't going to happen. That's a bit to many tasks for me to have going at once; especially when our daughter is in water! Also, I should note this took place weeks ago I am just getting the post up now though. We do bath our daughter more then once a month!

Mothers Day Weekend

My first Mother's Day weekend was a busy one. Melia, Daddy and I headed to Brunch with Melia's Great-Great Aunt Nellie & Uncle Don at their place Saturday so they could meet her for the first time. She did great and I am pretty sure she was the most popular girly in the place! Sunday we spent the day at Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Jim's place where she was spoiled with love and attention all day. Ithink we left most of the picture taking to Jim Sunday so I don't have many to share at this point since I forgot to ask him to send me copies.

BBQ

On May 16th the Bode's invited us to a BBQ at their place. Melia seemed to enjoy the outdoor cooking thing. Although she had a bit of a fussy day it was so nice to get out of the house, be around friends and enjoy the sunny weather. Note - that mini stack of beer cans next to Kevin did not stay that size!

Quick Comparison

Here's a photo of Melia on her birthday followed by one of her at her 1 month check-up. She went from 6lbs 12 oz at birth to 10lbs a month later. Someone isn't affraid of a meal!

Toy Testing

After a few days at home together we decided it was time to break out the toys and begin the task of testing them for playability. So far they have all passed our rigorous testing processes with flying colors!

Melia's Stat's

I forgot to put Melia's stat's in the last post so here are a few more pictures of her along with that info. She was born April 8th, 2009 at 1:14am weighing in at 6lbs 12oz and a wooping 20 1/2 inches long! Labor lasted about 7 hours from the time they induced me to the time she arrived and the whole process was pretty smooth sailing. Definitly the worst pain i've ever experienced but better than I had expected and so worth every moment!

And Baby Makes 5

I captured Kevin's 1st diaper change for you all to see. Since this picture he's become a pro at that task. The picture of the dogs shows the confusion and interest when we brought our little bundle of joy home. They now realize that blanket bundle we wouldn't put down just changed there world drastically! As you can see the new Mom and Dad aren't the only ones suffering from over exhaustion. Griffey & Keyla quickly gave up on getting up with us everytime Melia needed something.
